On behalf of DG XVII demonstration Programme: partial electrification (satisfaction of basic needs) through photovoltaic means of 44 isolated sites in Portugal: design and monitoring of the whole project in collaboration with TELEFUNKEN and RENAULT AUTOMATION (1987-1991).

Design of a solar drying plant for agricultural products in Portugal in collaboration with SOLAGRO (1988-1990).

Design of a project cofinanced by THERMIE Programme for solar drying on a rice plant in Anços, Portugal (1991-1993).

On behalf of DG XVII and in collaboration with CIRED promotion and organization of contacts and agreements between european (France, Spain) and brazilian firms for technological transfers in the Small Hydro sector (1989-1991).

On behalf of the Portuguese Ministry of Planning and in collaboration with APCEDE, introduction in Portugal of energy efficient technologies consuming biomass through the VALOREN Programme. Over 10 000 classrooms were equiped with consuming biomass stoves co-financed by this Programme.

On behalf of the VALOREN Programme and in collaboration with GRUPO PESTANA, NORTDANK and PERFORM, technical assistance and financial building of the 5 MW eolic park of Madeira Island (1992).

On behalf of the DG I COGERBA Programme, technical assistance to a 30MW (2x15MW) small hydro project. Promotion of technological and know-how transfers, joint ventures and commercial agreements between Brazilian and European firms in small hydro, cogeneration, rational use of energy and natural gas consuming technologies sectors (1993).

Assistance to the WRE activities related to the project : Installation of a wind power plant in Vila do Bispo (Algarve - Portugal) (1997), contract with WRE.

Mission of advice and technical assistance to the Palestinian Energy Centre, contract with SISIE.
